Business Controller with Power BI experience
Autorola is looking for a Business Controller with an interest in and flair for Power BI to join the Group’s finance department in Odense. You will become part of a dynamic finance team consisting of 15 skilled colleagues and collaborate closely with stakeholders across both headquarters and international subsidiaries.
This is a key role for someone who enjoys combining controlling with data-driven insights, process optimization, and modern reporting tools.
About Autorola Group
Autorola Group is a global leader in online remarketing, automotive IT, and business intelligence solutions tailored for used vehicles and professional fleet management. Through our three business units – Marketplace, Solutions, and Indicata – we deliver innovative digital tools that empower our clients to optimize every step of the vehicle lifecycle.
With more than 20 subsidiaries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific, our platform connects OEMs, leasing companies, banks, and dealers, enabling seamless trade and data-driven decisions in real time.
Your Role
As a Business Controller, you will hold a key position within the finance department, where your overall purpose is to ensure that management receives timely, accurate, and value-adding financial reporting.
At the same time, you will help further develop the company’s data foundation and reporting processes with a strong focus on automation, quality, and transparency.
You will work closely with the CFO, the controlling team, and colleagues across the organization – both at headquarters and within our subsidiaries.
Your primary responsibilities will include
Ensuring and continuously improving the quality of monthly reporting.
Further developing reporting packages and KPI reporting in collaboration with the CFO.
Supporting forecast, budget, and monthly reporting processes, including variance analysis.
Implementing and utilizing data tools such as Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and Power Automate.
Applying an interest in and flair for AI and modern data technologies to optimize processes and reporting workflows.
Contributing to financial analyses and business cases.
Managing projects and implementing new processes and systems.
In addition, you will act as a backup for colleagues within the accounting department when needed.
Your Qualifications
We imagine that you have a relevant educational and accounting background combined with experience from a similar role within controlling, finance, or auditing.
You are motivated by creating structure and insights from complex data and thrive in an international environment where you communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken.
In addition, you have:
2–5 years of relevant professional experience within controlling, finance, or auditing.
Strong understanding of data structures and complex business relationships.
Experience working with Excel and Power BI, including large datasets.
Experience with SQL is an advantage, but not a requirement.
Interest in AI and curiosity about how emerging technologies can improve finance processes and reporting.
A structured and analytical approach to your work.
The ability to quickly gain an understanding of the business and identify opportunities for improvement.
As a technology-driven organization, we are continuously exploring how we can improve workflows, reporting quality, automation, and decision-making across the business. We are therefore looking for someone who stays updated on new AI tools and technologies and is motivated by identifying smarter and more efficient ways of working.
What We Offer
We are a well-established company with a strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with a relaxed and positive work environment. Decision-making paths are short, and you will have the opportunity to drive change and influence our internal processes.
We offer a 37-hour work week and believe strongly in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We care about our employees and strive to maintain a sustainable workload that allows time to solve tasks properly while accommodating family life as well. If you have wishes or needs for relevant courses or training, we are happy to support them.
Our office is located next to the train station in Odense, where we work in an open office environment characterized by an informal tone. We also offer regular company events, an attractive lunch arrangement, pension scheme, health insurance, and an in-house fitness room. We also enjoy wrapping up the week together in our Friday bar.
