Team Lead - Marketplace Software Department
Are you ready to help shape the future of a global auction platform and enable a development team to work as autonomously as possible? Join Autorola as our new Team Lead and play a key role in driving agile processes, technical quality, and team development – without personnel management responsibilities.
About Autorola Group
Autorola Group is a global leader in online remarketing, automotive IT, and business intelligence solutions tailored for used vehicles and professional fleet management. Through our three business units – Marketplace, Solutions, and Indicata – we deliver innovative, digital tools that empower our clients to optimize every step of the vehicle lifecycle.

Autorola Marketplace
Autorola Marketplace is a business unit within Autorola Group, a global company with over 850 employees and 19 subsidiaries across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. Specializing in online car auctions and customized solutions for fleet owners, Autorola Marketplace utilizes advanced technology to address the specific needs of OEMs, banks, dealers, and leasing segments throughout the entire car lifecycle.
You’ll join our Marketplace development department – a dynamic team responsible for our online car auction platform used across countries and time zones. Hundreds of cars are auctioned daily, and performance, quality, and availability are key.
Transform How Cars Are Bought and Sold – One Sprint at a Time
As a Team Lead, you will support one of our backend-focused development teams, guiding them in agile delivery and driving continuous improvement. Your focus is to make the team as self-driven as possible while ensuring coordination with stakeholders and a high level of technical and delivery quality.
While you won’t have personnel or HR responsibilities (those lie with the Department Manager), you’ll act as a trusted partner for the team in their daily work and collaborate closely with the Product Manager to prioritize tasks and ensure smooth, timely deliveries.
You will:
- Facilitate agile ceremonies: daily stand-ups, iteration planning, retrospectives, and demos
- Support backlog refinement and delivery planning in collaboration with the Product Manager
- Remove impediments and manage external dependencies
- Drive flow and cycle-time improvements through metrics and feedback loops
- Communicate delivery progress to stakeholders
- Ensure architectural guardrails and technical quality are upheld
- Coordinate releases and support RFCs, bugs, and incident resolution
- Onboard new team members and handle vacation/time registration approvals
- Support team members' well-being and development through regular 1:1 conversations
- Collaborate closely with the Department Manager to support team well-being and development, ensure alignment on HR-related matters, and maintain a shared overview of team deliveries, challenges, and individual needs
Bring Your Experience – We’ll Bring the Challenge
We believe there are several paths to succeeding in this role. You don’t need to have a background as a software developer – but you should be comfortable working in a technical environment, be curious about digital products, and enjoy keeping the wheels turning in our development team.
You might come from a background as a:
- Project Manager with experience in software, IT, or digital product delivery
- Scrum Master or Agile Coach with strong facilitation skills and agile experience
- Team Coordinator or Team Lead used to driving progress and collaboration in a tech team (without formal HR responsibilities)
- Former Product Owner or UX/Product profile who now wants to focus more on team delivery and flow
What matters most is that you:
- Understand how development teams work and how to support them
- Are highly structured and proactive in planning and coordination
- Communicate clearly and comfortably across roles and levels
- Have a strong interest in the product and in supporting people to do their best work
