Cloud Architect
Do you want to play a key role in shaping cloud architecture and optimizing AWS services for a global organization?
Shape the Future of Cloud Architecture at Autorola
We are a global company specializing in online car auctions and IT solutions for the automotive industry. Our DevSecOps team is responsible for managing, operating, monitoring, and designing the architecture for more than 100,000 AWS resources while supporting several development teams comprising more than 60 people. We have successfully simplified our architecture and improved the stability and security of our services, following AWS best practices.
As we continue to evolve, we are looking for a skilled Cloud Architect to strengthen our cloud infrastructure and collaborate closely with development teams to build scalable, efficient, and secure solutions.
In this role, you will be involved in a broad range of projects, from shaping Autorola’s next-generation infrastructure to contributing to daily architectural decisions. You will report to the IT Director and often work closely with the CTO, giving you direct influence on both technology choices and strategic direction.
You can expect a varied workday with a mix of long-term initiatives and fast-moving priorities. You will play a key role in defining which technologies we adopt and how we build for the future.
About Us
At Autorola, our DevSecOps specialist team consists of several Cloud Engineers and a Cloud Architect. Our mission is to optimize cloud solutions, ensuring high performance and security while enabling development teams to focus on business logic.
Today, many use cases that could be better served by AWS-native services are implemented in application code, adding unnecessary complexity. Our goal is to offload suitable workloads to the cloud, resulting in more scalable, maintainable, and efficient solutions.
What you will be working on
As a Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing AWS-based solutions that enhance scalability, efficiency, and security. You will serve as a bridge between DevSecOps and development teams, ensuring that AWS services are leveraged effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing workflows that apply the most suitable AWS services for each use case
- Collaborating with developers, product owners, team leads, and the CTO to identify and act on cloud optimization opportunities
- Replacing complex application logic with scalable, cloud-native solutions where appropriate
- Ensuring that infrastructure meets high standards for security, compliance, and reliability
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a skilled Cloud Architect who is passionate about AWS and cloud optimization. While we understand that finding cloud architects with deep AWS experience is challenging, we are fully prepared to support the right candidate in developing into this role. That means if you are a strong senior developer, DevOps engineer, or similar with solid AWS exposure and a hunger to grow, we want to hear from you.
Ideally, you:
- Have hands-on experience with AWS services and a solid understanding of how they work together (extensive experience is a significant advantage)
- Understand security concepts and how to build secure cloud solutions
- Have experience as a full-stack developer (a significant advantage)
- Are proactive, outgoing, and eager to be involved in projects and development processes
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization
- Think abstractly and can design cloud architectures with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and the bigger picture
- Are committed to continuous learning and excited about deepening your AWS expertise with real-world challenges
What’s in it for you
As a Cloud Architect, you will join a highly skilled team with deep AWS expertise. Several of your future colleagues are AWS-certified, and we will actively support you in obtaining relevant certifications as part of your professional development.
You will not face challenges alone. Collaboration and knowledge-sharing are central to how we work. You’ll have support from both experienced colleagues and a trusted external partner, an AWS-recommended consultancy that provides unlimited 24/7 expert-level sparring on complex topics.
You can expect:
- A well-defined onboarding process and structured development path
- Ongoing mentoring and sparring with certified AWS colleagues
- Full access to expert-level support from our AWS consultancy partner
- A collaborative environment where continuous improvement is a shared goal
This role offers both high expectations and high support, ensuring that you grow into the position with confidence and a strong foundation.
You will join a global company with over 850 employees and subsidiaries in 20 countries across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. We offer a dynamic work environment with great opportunities for professional development and career growth.
We strive to ensure a great work-life balance with flexible working hours and the option to work remotely when needed. Our office is located in Odense, featuring an open office layout with a relaxed and informal atmosphere. We also offer various company events, an excellent canteen, a pension scheme, health insurance, and an in-house fitness room. And to wrap up the week, we enjoy socializing at our Friday bar in the basement.
